Dimenisonal Imaging Comnsultants, Inc. was  founded in 1990 by  Douglas Tyler. The Corpoiration was founded, in part, as a means for continuing research into and for organizing exhibitions of work undertaken by artists and other image-makers in the new visual media evolving in the late Twentieth and early Twenty-first Century. Of particular interest since the Corporation's founding has been promoiting the exhibition and sale of work produced in the very new medium of holography, an exceptiopnally powerful and technologically advanced means of imaging, that allows the practioner to produce multi-dimensional visual experiences unlike those accessible through any other current day technology.

Douglas Tyler is a Professor in the Department of Art at Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana  and is widely known for his artistic explorations in the medium of holography and is among the best known organizers of holographic exhibitions in the United States.
